Throughout her career, Attorney Mengel has fought for basic human rights for farmworkers, advocated for victims of domestic violence, worked at a large reputable law firm, and ultimately landed at her own client focused, individualized practice.

Attorney Mengel graduated from the William Mitchell College of Law after devising her own Bachelors degree in the areas of Political Science, Anthropology and Journalism with a minor in Women’s Studies. During law school she was active in the Latino Law Students Association while she worked as an immigration paralegal. Attorney Mengel is a current member of the Minnesota Bar and the American Immigration Lawyers Association.

Additionally, she prepares affirmative immigration filings and represents clients in her benefits practice before U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, the asylum office and consulates abroad.

Attorney Mengel has lived in New Zealand and in Venezuela and is fluent in Spanish. With family in Venezuela and throughout the U.S., she is dedicated to a global perspective toward bringing and keeping families together across borders.
